How many of us play these negative tapes in our heads every day?
I know I do. It’s a continuous loop of negativity that drags our spirits down into a morass of self-doubt, lack of confidence and not seeing ourselves as the beautiful, strong, successful women that others see and deep down we know we are . If you hear it constantly it becomes you.
These negative tapes keep us from moving forward. Yes, you will fail at something you are passionate about or that you have given your all.
I’m here to tell you that there are many stories of successful entrepreneurs who failed not once, not twice, but several times. But the difference is that they never saw the failure as a defeat. They took it as a learning lesson, dusted themselves off and kept moving forward.
There is a gospel song that when I feel doubtful, I’ll play as a reminder that when I fall down to get right back up again. The chorus goes like this:
We fall down
But we get up
We fall down
But we get up
For a saint is just a sinner who fell down
And got up
– Donnie McClurkin
Sometimes life shatters or even tries to break us. But we are strong, badass women and we won’t give in to those continuous negative tapes.
Breaking these negative tapes or thoughts was the reason I designed the Mobius Collection. The Mobius strip is based on a mathematical theory of a loop with only one side and one boundary curve. In everyday terms, it is a continuous loop. There is no beginning or end. One can travel around the strip without ever getting off.
When you wear one of the Mobius necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, it will remind you that you and only you can break the cycle. You can get off that continuous loop, stop the negative tapes and change course. You can release the doubt. Just like the song, when you fall down, you will indeed get back up and embrace a stronger, more confident you.
Find your Mobius piece to wear and let others know that you are powerful, strong, and beautiful.
