The bracelet's shape follows the Mobius strip which was discovered by mathematicians August Ferdinand Mobius and Johann Benedict Listing in 1858.  The shape is formed by joining the ends of a strip of rectangle wire, twisting one end 180 degrees to form one continuous strip.
